Norris Sales Seminar Training
Aerial Boom / Scissor Lift Safety & Operation
Seminar is based on regulatory guidelines and includes both classroom work and hands on activities. Videos are used to reinforce the importance of safety. The hands-on activities include a review of the "Operator's Safety Manual", including walk-around inspection, functional checks and safe equipment operation. Proper use of applicable fall protection is included. Accident reports are integrated to stress the need for safety during all activities with this equipment. A written exam is administered reviewed. All attendees receive handouts and a laminated wallet card upon successful completion. Re-qualification is due every 3 years.
Basic Lockout / Tagout
Seminar provides trainees with an overview of the proper terminology, responsibilities, documentation, and components to safely block equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines. The program includes handouts which have safety check lists pertinent to this activity. A written exam is administered and reviewed. All attendees receive handouts and a laminated wallet card upon successful completion.
Backhoe Safety & Operation
Seminar includes a review of the safety manual from the Equipment Manufacturers Institute, the Operators' Manual, safe operation videos & OSHA accident reports. Program includes both a walk-around inspection and hands-on portion. A written exam is administered and reviewed. All attendees receive laminated wallet cards upon successful completion.
Confined Space
Seminar focuses on Permit Required Confined Space entries, responsibilities of attendants, entrants, supervisors and rescue operations. Attendees receive training on gas meters, rescue systems, fall protection and more. The program includes classroom work and hands-on application. A written exam is administered and reviewed. All attendees receive handouts and a laminated wallet card upon successful completion.
Fall Protection
Seminar reviews applicable OSHA regulations. Attendees will learn to identify fall hazards, determine fall protection needs IAW the regulation, determine fall calculations, properly select, wear, inspect, clean and maintain fall protection equipment. A written exam is administered and reviewed. All attendees receive handouts and a laminated wallet card upon successful completion.
First Aid / CPR Initial Course (Yearly Re-Certification)
Call Dave Orloff for course description and details. Adult - Level I Program, includes use of AED's and realistic manikins. CPR requires a yearly re-qualification and First Aid requires re-qualification every 3 years.
Industrial Forklift Safety & Operation
The goal of this program is to prevent accidents, injuries and fatalities caused by the improper or unsafe use of forklifts. Regulatory guidelines including accident reports, statistics and videos are reviewed. The program includes classroom work and hands-on application, where the attendees perform a pre-operational inspection and operate the equipment in a safe, professional manner, in accordance with industry standards. A written exam is administered and reviewed. All attendees receive handouts and a laminated wallet card upon successful completion. Re-qualification is due every 3 years.
Respirator - Qualitative Fit Testing
A qualitative fit test is conducted. Attendees are shown how to wear masks properly, as well as storing the masks in accordance with OSHA standards. Yearly re-qualification is required. Laminated wallet cards are issued upon successful completion.
Rough Terrain Forklift Safety & Operation
Seminar instructs participants on the regulatory guidelines to become a safe and professional operator of this equipment. A review of pertinent information from the "Operator's Manual" is conducted. The seminar consists of video review, classroom work and hands-on application where the attendees conduct a pre-operation inspection and operate the equipment in a safe manner in accordance with industry standards. A written exam Is administered and reviewed. All attendees receive handouts and a laminated wallet card upon successful completion. Re-qualification is due every 3 years.
Scaffold User & Erector
Seminar will train attendees to recognize job hazards before they become statistics. Seminar based on regulatory guidelines and includes review of accident reports & videos. A written exam is administered and reviewed. All attendees receive handouts and a laminated wallet card upon successful completion.
Skid Steer Loader Safety
Seminar will include a review of the applicable safety manuals, safe operation videos, as well as information from the OSHA website, including safety bulletins & accident reports. A walk-around inspection and safe operation in accordance with industry standards are included. A written exam is administered and reviewed. All attendees receive handouts and a laminated wallet card upon successful completion.
Trenching & Shoring
Seminar will provide training on all types of trench safety including sloping, benching, trench boxes and hydraulic shores. OSHA standards will be discussed in depth, including soil types, use of ladders, and other safety equipment & requirements. A written exam is administered and reviewed. All attendees receive handouts and a laminated wallet card upon successful completion.
