Environmental Fee Information
Norris Sales Company Incorporated (“Norris Sales”) is committed to fulfilling the needs of our customers with high quality equipment and service. This requires that we maintain our fleet and facilities in excellent operating condition, including the responsible handling of materials that may be hazardous or have a potential negative impact on our environment. This includes the proper disposal and/or recycling of fuel, oil, tires, batteries, lubricants, solvents, cleaners, and waste. Safely handling and disposing of these materials is a costly endeavor but of primary importance to Norris Sales. The Environmental Fee (the “Fee”) is intended to help offset these costs and ensure that Norris Sales can maintain the facilities necessary to continue our commitment to our customers, our communities, and the environment.
The Fee is not a government mandated charge and, as such, is not remitted to any government or regulatory agency. As noted above, the fees are used to offset the maintenance and operating costs of Norris Sales’ fleet and facilities, while also supporting compliance with related safety and environmental regulations. The Fee is assessed on each piece of rental equipment that Norris Sales determines may have a possible environmental impact. The Fee is assessed at a rate of 1% to 1.4% of the gross rental charge and is collectible in conjunction with the payment terms specified in the rental contract. Norris Sales reserves the right to modify the Fee at any time.
